Would be ironic if Dale beat Ding here after al l we've said.
Can't see it happening, but you never know...

Dale pots the black. Would be funny if he ended up winning after so many people have said he doesn't deserve to be here.

And let's not forget that Dale was just one frame away from a semi final at the Crucible. He's a tough opponent for anyone these days.

Dale messes up and it's looking likely that Ding will take the last few open reds and the match.

Hawkins v Higgins up next, interesting match this one, I expect Barry to win it because Higgins....
The less said about Higgins' current form the better.

Is there any way Higgins beats Hawkins?
You would assume Hawkins vs Ding would be a better match.

Barry Hawkins 1-0 John Higgins
I'm convinced that Hawkins will win the match.

Great long red from Higgins to get in. Let's see what Higgins can make from this chance.

Hey, can anyone tell me what john did to get in this tournament? Can't remember the last time he picked up any silver.

Rankings. There were three spots left open for rankings and he was second highest of those not already qualified.

On the plus side, at least that's one player who got here through rankings that won't win the tournament.

1-1. Higgins was good enough this frame. Let off a bit by Hawkins, but took advantage.
