Could be because it starts at 6am on a Sunday?

That wouldn't be the case if ROS was playing.

Well I for one and for me this is the unofficial "4th Major", watched almost the full final but only turned my PC on about half an hour ago.

Glad this huge tournament has had close finals, it does help instead of runaway ones.

Hope Ricky holds it together, he has a habit of getting twitchy at the end of matches like this.

Mark Allen usually does when he's up against it.

Why Allen hasn't been able to replicate this sort of form in tournaments in the UK in recent times don't know... well the same can said in Ding's case for that matter.

I was up until about 5 last night intended to stay up for the morning session. Unfortunately I must have fallen asleep at some point and then woke up just aftr the morning session ended.

well... true that still, Ding has the advantage of having won tourneys there, Allen has not won any.

I'm assuming these guys are playing later in the week at CoC

They play each other on Friday.

Unlucky split for Walden.

Just to think a year ago Ding was here when he won his 3rd sucessive ranking tournament and would go on to win an amazing 5 rankers that season equalling Hendry. This season he has been a shadow of that, hope he can regroup and find some form.

Walden ahead again, 8-7. Gutsy red to middle after the split enabled this.

That's an interesting point you bring up here.

Ding and Allen seem to prefer playing in China while Ronnie and Selby seem to play better in the UK.
Actually I think many players have a overall performance discrepancy between Europe and overseas countries.

Probably the best I've seen Walden play, not in terms of standard but in terms of positivity and self belief.
