I was going to ask when his last ranking QF was, but of course it was the Worlds this year!

Better from Mags, making a 96 to close to 4-1. Still a mountain to climb though.

Ding misses frame ball for 3-2. Nothing easy left and two awkward reds for Gould.

Holt levels 3-3 with Selby after being 0-3. I see the confidence gained from being WC has helped Selby become a better front runner...

if ronnie, MJW and Ryan day (at UK 2012) hadnt choked selby wouldnt have had apart from one masters title nothing.
welsh open 08: massive choke from ronnie after being 8-5 up
shanghai masters 11: massive choke from MJW after being 9-7 up
UK 12: ryan day choked from being 3-2 up and having selby in snookers required stages
WC 14: nothing to add
Masters 08: should have been out against hendry, maguire or doherty. played a good final though
masters 09: should have won this but lost
masters 10: massive choke from ronnie after being 9-6 up
masters 13: only title he deserved to win

The mental side of the game is just as important, if not more so than the skill side. If the other players weren't up to it mentally they had no right to win.
Also Selby won the Masters in 2013 and not 2012.

It was rather pointless. 'If' this, 'if' that. If the Internet hadn't been invented, none of us would be on this forum; but it has and we are, and Selby is World Champion.
Deal with it.

Would love to see McManus use this great form to nab a bit of silverware.

Gouldy found his breakbuilding boots in that last frame with a good 97. Might be a little too late though.

Funny how you can never chalk up a Selby win as being due to him outplaying his opponent, it's always a mental collapse by his opponent
Genius should not be part of your posting name mate

If Willie Thorne hadent missed that Blue
If Steve Davis hadent thrown away a 8-0 lead in 1985
If Ali Carter had wore a John Higgins Mask in 2008 and 2012
the list goes on and on and on and very pointless.
