Beat 4-3. You cant miss that many into that left hand black pocket and expect to win. He showed signs of lack of concentration I thought which is always a problem over there. Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Just to mention a names thing again, in case anyone getting confused, World Snooker and my147.com are using Ou Zhiwei for the player snooker.org has as Au Chi-Wai - the latter being his name in Hong Kong (he's competed for Hong Kong in International competitions), the former (more correctly Ōu Zhìwĕi ) being his name in Mandarin.
Great win for him over IBSF World Champion Zhōu Yuèlóng, whatever the 'correct' name ( 区志伟 )

Lǚ Chēnwĕi is currently in one of the spots for gaining a Tour card. I’m not sure who the 4th player is currently as I’m not sure whether the player just behind Lǚ Chēnwĕi, Zhōu Yuèlóng, would be treated as having qualified through this - he’s already qualified for the Pro Tour by being IBSF World Champion, he's also not far off qualifying for the PTC finals - a run to the quarter finals might do it. If Zhōu Yuèlóng being IBSF Champion is given precedence, the last player currently qualified is Rouzi Maimaiti, with a whole host of players close to his points total - Chén Zĭfán, Dá Hăilín and Guăn Zhèn in particular are very close.
Problem might be solved by Zhōu Yuèlóng's loss and wins by Rouzi Maimaiti and Chén Zĭfán - both one win short of overtaking Zhōu Yuèlóng (if they both win they'll play each other in the next round, which could be quite an important match as the winner MAY do enough to get a Tour card, Maimaiti could get in anyway but I'm not sure of the tie-break rules - Chén Zĭfán would end up tied with Lǚ Chēnwĕi if he wins just one match tomorrow)

Shame about Jimmy White, but you never know, the £200 from here might be the difference come the end of the season ...
Jū Rètí whitewashed Thirapongpaiboon and I'm not even surprised ... Chinese Snooker authorities ought to put some funding into supporting some of the more experienced players like him rather than always the teenagers ...

Is this why the wild cards for some of the chinese tournaments always seem to be taken from the same group, disregarding any merits from the Asian PTC? I haven't notice a player like Ju Reti getting a single chance as a wild card, albeit winning a APTC...

Last year the wild cards went to players who they were planning to enter for Asian and World Under 21s.

Wilson took it.
Off the streams, Tián Péngfēi and Jū Rètí in a decider, Jū Rètí in and scoring heavily, so Tián Péngfēi may fall short on getting back on Tour via the Asian Order of Merit, although still very close to the Top 64.
Wins for Liáng Wénbó, Dīng Jùnhuī , Stuart Bingham, Au Chi-Wai, Dechawat Poomjaeng, Yú Délù (4-3 against Woollaston), Ken Doherty, Tom Ford, Alan McManus (strengthens his chance of getting to PTC finals),
Rouzi Maimaiti struggling in his match against Cài Jiànzhōng , down 3-1

Jū Rètí and Lisowski won.
Maimaiti's pulled one back
Chén Zĭfán and Sūn Péng in a decider, interesting that the two players on the verge of getting the points they need to get a Tour card are struggling ...

A shame about Tian Pengfei. But Ju Reti never was going to be a pushover. However, I think Tian has played his most consistant game the last couple of months, qualifying for events on a regular basis. What is important now is to progress and take it to latter stages of tournaments and collect that prize money. It'll be tight, but I'm rooting for him. I think he can manage to stay on tour still.

Sad for Chén Zĭfán and Rouzi Maimaiti that they didn't do what they needed to to get a tour card, still a possibility Maimaiti could be awarded a place depending on how World Snooker handle Zhōu Yuèlóng qualifying through this and as IBSF World Champion - or they might not need to if Cài Jiànzhōng grabs the last place (and a PTC finals place) by beating Stuart Bingham tomorrow ... not an easy task, wonder how he'll sleep!
