PTC Does throw up some crap Live Matches and next is another Ronnie O'Sullivan v Jak Jones
Jak Jones has played 8 matches this season lost every one and the last season he was on the Main Tour in 2010/2011 he won only 1 match in 7 Main World Ranking events that season.

It does but in this case Ronnie deserves the TV match as much as Higgins and Williams did for instance against players of similar calibre, plus he's the current World Champion and crowds always come in force to watch him.
I reckon the next match against Muir if Ronnie wins shouldn't be on TV, maybe Allen v Murphy will certainly be a great one.

i agree with you but it really needs a re think regarding TV Matches from powers that be.
it does the sport no favors showing how easy Ronnie , Higgins or Williams wins matches against cannon fodder.

Plus a series of one way matches like we'd had today, means that there are less matches from the later rounds to choose from. Like we had with Selby v Judd/Carter v Ding not being shown because they hadn't finished.

I'm liking this Jak Jones.
Okay he hasn't won a match yet, but if a player doesn't wilt under the TV lights and the reputation of his opponent, or even plays better in those conditions, chances are he'll do well eventually.

Ronnie wins 4-2, very high standard, Jones played very well, unfortubately that missed red to middle in frame 5 cost him the match.
If only he coud play to this standard in the qualifiers he certainly would win more matches.
Next for Ronnie is Ross Muir, if things are to be fair, I think his match shouldn't be on TV, and instead Allen v Murphy, which I think WS is gonna make that decision but wouldn't be too surprised if they put Ronnie again.

But Allen v Murphy is schedulled to be on at 2:30 p.m and Ronnie's match at 4 p.m, so if matches are played at a decent pace I think they can put both of them on TV.
Now it's Hawkins against Chris Norbury.
