Luca did well to win that frame. 3-3.
Nice to see proper long format snooker. Nowhere near enough of it on the tour.

Two good frames from Luca to go 4-3 up. Great last pink to make the ton.

Luca is a great potter, but runs out of position a bit too much. He does like to play entertaining shots. Great to watch when he's on fire. But like I said, needs to work on his positional play.

Looks to be a lot more close matches this session. At least 4 5-4s compared to only one for the morning. And no 8-1s.

I think Luca should maybe have gone for one of those pots rather than put the cue ball back. Ronnie would certainly have taken one on.

Luca focused on the cannon more than the pot there. Lucky he got both parts of the shot wrong.

Luca loses that frame after having a good chance to lead heading into the final session.
Of course he's only a frame behind at 5-4, but the last frame of a session is always so important from a phsycological point of view.

Have to say that would be a surprise result. Not sure whether Steadman could turn that round from four behind though. Needs to get to 7-4 at the interval at worst

Been out. See most of the one sided matches finished swiftly. Looks like Wakelin has pulled ahead of Snowy Davison from 7-2 behind
Think Daniel Wells was a fair bit behind Clark as well and has got level.

Skull with so many tons already in the first day of qualifying, you think we'll see a 147 be made? I think there will be at least one in this qualifiers.

Possibility but I think it's more likely it'll be done a higher ranked player.
Fun fact: There have two 147s in the qualifying stages for the Worlds and they were made by Robert Milkins.

Didn't know Milkins is the only player to have achieved that, let alone the 2 he made.
And yeah I also think it will be done by a higher ranked player, who knows maybe Milkins himself again

See Leslie and Keogan are only at 6-6! They were pulled off early, but still. Hope the ref for that match doesn't have to be up early tomorrow.

Clark 9-8 up against Wells, but I think that match is bound to have a decider.

TT finishes off with back to back big breaks, 128 and a 90+. I wonder if he realised he's in a tight match at the Worlds?
