Robertson killing off his Crucible chances

Third consecutive deciding frame victory for Robbo, barring snookers. Really taking out of himself to get through here.

Thought I would be saying YU THE MAN and having a go at GJ, but anyway

Didn't see the whole of the match, but it sounds like it was a struggle for both players, but still every credit for Yu to just keep hanging on and almost beating Robbo.

Robbo 3rd sucessive 5-4 victory, no tons still.

I'd like him to reach the Crucible with those 8 left, that will make him score heavily there and needing to have a deep run at the Worlds.

Ding v Higgins should be a good match. Ding has been a bit off his game recently while Higgins has been improving in recent times.

By the way, this is Carter's first quarter final in a ranking event this season. Looks like he's starting to find some form and the Crucible isn't far away.

Robbo hasn't made a semi since the new year so needed a confidence boosting run this week.

He had played far more snooker this time last year so its completely different this time.

Also, hope Selby sends Jimmy packing.

Graeme Dott will be the toughest qualifier at the Crucible. No one will want to play him, expect maybe Perry he remembers the last time fondly they played in the first round.

And I think he will win, Ding not the same player he was when he was winning sucesive rankers this season.

Unlucky split for Higgins, but good plant from Ding to get in and he takes the first in one.

But having said that I really hope Ding wins this match, and if he does i can really see him go on to win this tournament, a fitting achievement it would be giving it was his first ranker as a teenager back in 2005 and it would mean he would level Hendry on 5 rankers won in a season.

1 or 2 seasons ago we were talking about it was very very difficult for even someone to win back to back rankers, and look at what Ding has done this season

We always talk about Robertson and Trump being a great single ball potter but what about Ding?

I thought Robbo and Trump were referred to as great long potters, which they do outclass Ding in.
