I agree but Greene too is looking vulnerable and Allen when things get close is usually good under pressure situations.

I liked Greene. He wrote a nice little message thing in my autograph book. Some players just scrawl a name, and half the time they look put out doing it.

What was the message? I'm curious.

This match hasn't been great, hope the next ones are better, especially Fu v Higgins, that is a very tasty match, think Fu will win.

I may have oversold it....
In fact, I can't quite remember exactly what it said. I'll have to check when I get home.
But it was nice in the sense that he took time to ask my name, so he could address the autograph to me. A lot of snooker players give signatures that you can barely read.

Greene had 2 huge slices of luck there at the end of the frame.
In these sprint matches, that can be the difference between winning and losing a match.

I prefer having the fast, free flowing matches at the start of a snooker day and the scrappy, gripping matches at the end.

Greene had already 3 decent match winning opportunities but he only scored 15 points..

Right from the start, things didn't go Allen's way. Also Greene had the run off the ball in vital moments and that made all the difference.

Pattern: every time a see player in Preston they go on to win their next match, so expect wins for Perry, Higgins & Hawkins for the rest of the day.
