PTC finals seeding

Postby roy142857

Apparently seeding for the PTC finals is dependent upon total points across both the European and Asian Orders of Merit.

May make it worthwhile for already-qualified players to pick up money in the final Asian competition and grab a Top 16 place. It's £10000 for a win, £5000 for runner-up, £2500 for semi finalists, £1500 for quarter finalists, £1000 for Last 16.

I've had a quick look at this, I think the current standings are :

Mark Allen 45250
Mark Selby 42716
Ronnie O'Sullivan 38616
Mark J Williams 30683
Shaun Murphy 29499
John Higgins 27550
Ricky Walden 5100
Judd Trump 20249
Dīng Jùnhuī 19933
Fergal O'Brien 17199
Sam Baird 16351
Joe Perry 15682
Liáng Wénbó 15483
Marco Fu 15300
Stephen Maguire 14766
Neil Robertson 14083
Gerard Greene 13383
Jamie Jones 13300
Stuart Bingham 12983
David Gilbert 12883
Ben Woollaston 12316
Gary Wilson 11732
Ryan Day 11550
Michael Holt 11215
Jū Rètí 11200
Scott Donaldson 10799
Jimmy Robertson 10716
Mark Davis 10450
Anthony Hamilton 10234
Xiāo Guódòng 5283
Lǚ Hàotiān 5000
Liú Chuǎng 4600

Players shown in red are those who haven't got enough points on the Asian Order of Merit to be certain to qualify for the PTC finals, so up to 5 different players might be added to this list - but players not on this list wouldn't put themselves into the top 16 without a run to the final.
