Judd lost playing a safety shot.
Hendry would have taken that on
But I just knew Trump wouldn't win this decider and after he lost position on the pink I knew Higgins had this in the bag.

Allen has Higgins next.
I remember last year, Higgins was exceptional in smashing Ding 5-0 in the quarters and played well against Allen in the semis up to 2-2. Then Allen accelerated away to a 6-2 win.

Trump has lost a lot of his fear factor now. Some of the boastful stuff he came out with, things like "time to dominate". People now realise he's more hat than cattle.

Never heard that one before.
And Higgins is the only one who can do that him, really.

Looks like Ding's got his act together post-MSI. Levels 3-3.
Let's see how Shaun responds, if he does.

Honestly I can't explain what's going on with Allen. He has gone backwards the last couple of seasons but he looks unbeatable here.

It is a slightly more kind variation on "all hat and no cattle".
Urban Dictionary wrote:"All hat and no cattle" A slang phrase from the Southwestern United States, indicating a person is more image or projection than actual substance.

Seems about right.

Depends if Smurph wins today. If he does, then Higgins will be in Judd's section. If Shaun doesn't, Higgins will overtake him and Mags, and will be in Ronnie quarter, and will have Marco provisionally in Round 2.

Speaking of provisional Crucible draws, Allen's win today puts him in Ronnie's section for round 2, with only Dott able to overtake him by reaching the final here.

First blood Smurph.
Don't think he's taken any frames in one visit yet. Now would be the perfect time to make the first, but think there'll be some way to go in the frame once Smurph's break ends.

He was workmanlike in Germany until he was 1-3 to Dom Dale and 2-4 down to Trump. He ups it when necessary.

Barring three snookers (Ding's got already), Smurph has it.
