Robbo finishes Jones off 5-1.
Didn't quite make back to back tons to finish though. Think it'd be best if Robbo got to 100 tons before the Crucible because I think going for the 100th ton could add unneeded pressure to him and make him take stupid risks that a good opponent would pounce on.

How many is he at now? He'd propably like to do it first round of wc then can concentrate fully on the tourney. Sheffield is the place to make it a bit more special.

4-2 Pankaj over Xiao
Apparently Xiao did a Poomjaeng at some point before the MSI. Could've been closer if not for that.

With that and his stint in the jungle I wonder if he knows this is his last season?

Maguire was 3-0 down got it back to leading 4-3 before Thepchaiya won 5-4
Thanks for the short summary on this match Wildey.
Maguire must be gutted, puttin all that hard work in to come back from 3-0 down, then manages to go 4-3 ahead but then ends up losing 5-4.

I think he'll beat Ford next, but then will have Robbo like their recent meeting at the Welsh open and he'll prove once again too strong for Rory to beat.

Is it possible for the broadcasters to cover every frame of every match of a tournament completely, or let's say last 16, also in terms of the World Championship. I remember Eurosport covering complete frames last WSC, but half of the match or so, while BBC covers all the frames, but tends to cut out parts of almost every frame.
Is it possible to show every frame, completely, of every match?

I,ve just watched the decider between Maguire and Un Nooh,it,s already been uploaded on you tube.
A real shame Maguire missed the brown,it would have indeed been a tremendous clearence.

There has been some speculation by the commentators that Robertson may be concentrating on making centuries too much, and it might prove a distraction.
Discuss.

I forgot Jimmy qualified.
Has he got any chance of beating Smurph?

Yes I think it is, obviosuly he as anyone I think who would be close to achieving what he's about to achieve has to have that in mind, but that isn't his main worry, he just concentrates on winning matches and if he can have tons in them that's a bonus. And it's not like you start thinking about a ton when the frame starts, you only think about it when the frame is already won or pretty close to that anyway.

Agree, even an inspired performance from him I don't think would be enough as Murphy too would raise his game if that happened and Jimmy makes far too many basic mistakes these days.
Of course not impossible, but I can't see Murphy getting upset here.

I think it's more likely to affect his shot choices if the opponent got in first in the frame. So of Robbo's on 49 and there are only three reds on the table, he might play a riskier shot to get on the black, miss and lose the frame.
All hypothetical of course.

And in his final frame of the season he made a 90 break.
Edit: Then again, for that to work he'd have to win the Worlds so he wouldn't mind that much.

Has Robertson won more than two matches at an event in 2014? If he continues like he has been not only will he fall short of the 100 tons but he'll be the top seed at the crucible that most qualifiers will want to play.

hes still broken the record by 38 centuries.
i think if hes concentrating too much on centuries thats poor stuff and next season looking back he will be kicking himself that he got caught up in all that hype instead of knuckling down to the important stuff and becoming twice world champion.

I don't think you can blame him for going for the 100 centuries in a season. It's a once in a lifetime chance to go for it and I doubt he'll sacrifice too much at Sheffield if it comes to it.
