If Selby wins two frames now, the second one on the colours or maybe the black I can see that happening.

He's surely up for the challenge.
"He just loves coming from behind you know" (Ronnie ambivalent sentence about Selby after Masters final).

Selby or Perry to win? That's like asking what type of paint you want to watch dry.

Mark Selby 1-5 Joe Perry
Marco Fu 0-5 Barry Hakwkins
Mark was poor apart from the fifth frame and Perry played well from 2-0. Deserved winner.

Wasn't meant to be for Mark today. But shouldn't mean the end of the World for him. He has already won the Welsh Open.He should focus on the World, that's the main tourney.

Everyone should focus on the Worlds, that doesn't mean you don't try in the other tournaments. Especially if you haven't won any yet in the season.
Still, move on and try and get some form for the next tourney I suppose.

He still has 3 tourneys left before Worlds to gain some confidence back so a lot to play for before the Big One.
Still, Selby was so poor tonight, like Cueist said was even lucky somewhat that he managed to win 1 frame.

Yes, is he unwell? I know normally he has quite a few off days but even for him this seemed quite a flat performance.

Hey, played well in the one frame he did win
Still, wasn't to be. Ding v Ronnie final looking very likely now. That will be a cracker.

Not impossible, Ding struggled against an easier opponent today and with Ronnie you never quite know.

In all honesty can't see Perry beating Ding, Ding is just playing too good atm and certainly won't play like Selby did there.
Could be close, but a Ding win is what will happen.
As for the other match, well Ronnie will have to be on his game because Hawkins is playing extremelly well it seems and will certainly make the most of Ronnie's mistakes.
Should be a great match that, they always have high quality matches.

As andre says, 3 more tourneys.
I dont think this welsh , open has been the greatest.
I have watched most players struggling with the atmospherics this week.

If perry can serve up like this evening against Ding tommorow , He could turn Ding over.
I would prefer ding to win.

Yes not been the best of tournaments this but that isn't new, for a few years now the Welsh Open lost that reputation it once had.
