Now the draw has shrunk a bit:
Have included PTC matches in these as these matches are best of 7, and most EPTCs in front of a bigger audience than Newport anyway. In case you want to ignore them, I've included the effective head to heads excluding PTCs as well in brackets
Effective H2H
Mags v Walker 0-0
Donaldson v Woollaston 0-0
Donaldson v Ding 0-1 (0-0)
Bingo v Perry 2-6 (2-5)
Carter v Selby 4-7 (3-6)
--------------------------------------
MJW v Fu 8-4 (7-2)
Liang v Hawkins 0-2 (0-1)
Trump v Higgins 2-4 (0-3)
Walden v ROS 1-2

Amazing how one sided MJW and Fu's H2H becomes when you exclude tin pot matches. Five of Fu's wins against MJW were in the Premier League.
Conversely, Judd looks like less of a Higgins bunny, although without PTCs as well, you can see he's never beaten Higgins in a proper match. Could be an omen...

The fact that robbo went deep in most events early in 2013 pre worlds and then lost in round 1 and Sheffield , im not too fussed if he loses early in some of the lead up events this year.
Still a string of losses against people he should beat can't be great for confidence.
Yeah agree, nothing brings you more confidence than winning matches, and Robbo certainly doesn't want to go to Sheffield with lots of early exists in the events leading up to it. I think he needs a good run in one of those, if I had to bet possibly the PTC Grand Finals or his defense of China Open.

Exactly
its confident zapping big time.
Theres a massive difference between not entering and losing matches.

So TV matches for tomorrow are, if I'm not mistaken:
In order,
Selby v Carter
Ronnie v Walden
Trump v Higgins
Williams v Fu

I'm expecting all matches to be close excluding Ding v Scott as I think Ding will have an easy victory, as for the others 4-2 or 4-3 I think.
Of course all depends on the day but I sense we'll see lots of them going close.

How? Ali is a Selby with less scoring power and a worse temperament and safety.

Worrying about going out early, missing events or winning matches etc is just going to wear you out. Just get on with it.

Hum good comparison, and as much as some may not agree with me I think Ali can at times be a much more negative player than Selby.
But as I said think it will go the distance with Selby winning the decider, who else....

Hadn't seen you around here for a while mate
but winning matches can only boost your confidence, and as I said Robbo certainly doesn't want to go to Sheffield with a run of poor results and early exits.
Having said that he still has 3 events to correct things before Worlds so he won't be too bothered.

yea theres far too many players talking about peaking for events or worrying they playing too much it might put the World in jepardy etc etc.
it just puts too much pressure on you if you constantly thinking about peaking for a event Just go out there and play and if you want a break take a break no need for Fans to think its a must.
Form comes and Go you cant miss events thinking it gives you a better chance of success it doesn't work like that.
it just gives you less chance of Winning A Tournament.
