Have to agree. That thin shot on the blue was tough and would've left it on if he missed, but it was 1-0 if it went in.

Jimmy Robertson takes the 1st frame .
Selby had the chance to pot Blue and Pink elected for a Safety which was the wrong shot to play and it cost him the frame

you can understand that shot on the Blue if after 7 frames its 4-3 either way and he has struggled all the way but not in the opening frame.

Is it just me or does Selby always look really shattered recently? He clearly needs a break.

He had basically a month between the World Open qualies and the Masters.

Looks like Mark's got Jimmy Robbo at it. Turned down the green and gone for a snooker.

There's just no rhythm in Selby's playing. Sometimes he takes so long to play an easy shot you wonder why he does it. Cant be good for his own game. He's playing like he's in a deciding frame of the world championship final or something...

It's payback - normally it's Selby who puts the audience to sleep with his dull play.
(I fully expect Wild to whine about this post, as he usually does.)

Selby's not especially slow in the balls. He's not Ronnie speed, but most aren't.

Ding first man through this afternoon. Looks like he'll be facing MJW next. Could be a good match if both are on it.
