As long as he's not facing a certain player from Leicester...
TheRocket wrote: Yeah, it's not like that Ronnie has beaten this guy from Leicester more than this guy from Leicester has beaten him and that he made a maximum against this guy from Leicester in an UK semi final (decider). It's funny that people want to suggest that Selby is a big bogey opponent. He surely isn't , he is definitely not the favourite opponent but that's it. Ronnie had at least two wins over Selby by fighting (Masters 2009, UK 2007).
Usually I always respect your comments and opinion but this is senseless here, sry.

I like Ding but I'm so super happy right now you wouldn't believe it! Normally Ronnie loses frames and matches like this!

Well, of course you're right with that and I agree that Selby has the advantage in deciders. But your comment sounded like as if Ronnie isn't able to show bottle against Selby in tough matches. He has proven it two times at the biggest stage you can get and it brought him two big majors at the end.
And we shouldn't always make the mistake to say that the loser has failed instead of saying that the winner is just a warrior. IMO Selby is mentally (together with Higgins and Ebdon) the strongest player on the tour, stronger than Ronnie, so I can't really say that Ronnie has failed, it's more Selbys strength. Selby is a lion.
Skullman wrote:Yeah, you guys can focus on the bad memories when Selby beats Ronnie again. Probably should just enjoy this win for now.
Snooker Overdrive wrote::phew: I calmed down a bit now.
In yesterday's group final the overall standard was better but this fightback from Ronnie was just truly inspirational - some of the shots he potted to force the decider were just superb.
O'Sullivan is in a very good place mentally at the moment and this win will give him also a lot of confidence. Whatever happens now, Ronnie can go into the UK Champs pleased.

If Ronnie beats your beloved Mark I'll make you eat your words Skull, trust me.
Of course I'm enjoying this win.

Don't think I've ever been so accurate with my predictions even though I've won some contests.

So it is with Ding, much expect in the UK.
Skullman wrote:So putting aside your happiness at Ronnie's comeback, was this match better or Robbo v Carter?
I'd go with yesterday's match personally, but just edges it.
