Plus it's not like he's gone in deep in as many events as Robbo to justify taking the break.

Mags took an extended summer break too.
nothing wrong with taking a break but so far mags having breaks does nothing for him he is a confidence player and not playing doesn't give anyone confidence

And the biggest news story of the tournament has just broke.

I just realized, this event start tomorrow
You can't catch your breath nowadays with this calendar. Pre Hearn there were always at least a couple of weeks after an event before the next starts. Now it's a couple of days or only one in this case.

Yeah absolutely Wild, I think they used to wear them in the afternoon matches didn't they in the 80s and early 90s.
Both players have them, don't know if it's the rule now to wear them in the afternoon or it's up to the players to chose between ties or bow tie.

the reason they changed to only bow ties and evening jackets Because a lot of matches that was played in the morning/afternoon was shown in a highlight package and for continuity they dressed the same every session of play
Ridiculous reason but there you are
Snooker Administration over the years have been stupid

PS Regarding ties, wouldn't they get in the way more than a bow tie?

Murphy hasn't done that much wrong, but Selby has been superb in amongst them, never looking like missing, has made about 5 or 6 breaks over 30 in this 4 frames.
Don't think Murphy will be strong enough to win this match now.

He isn't like Taylor though by a country mile, only comparing the ethical code of both snooker and golf when players call fouls on themselves, and Golf is definately a good comparison.
