he has nothing to prove as a billiard player hes made it and bought the T Shirt many times over.

ultimately its his decision but i hope for his sake he goes to The International Championship and a match with Dave Harold and turn that £3,000 into £7,000+

He's the defending World Champion and I think he will defend and if he does then it'll be the right decision. He won it last year with the pressure of people questioning his decision and it did affect him. It showed in the relief he felt at winning and answering his critics.

I think it's easy as a snooker fan to say he should go to the International, but when you see how good he is at billiards you realise why he has to defend the title. He is absolutely bloody brilliant at it.

I guess that Pankaj has to weigh up his priorities. He's £10,000 within the top 64 for next season, by no means an unassailable position. If he wants to cement his place then he should play the snooker tournament but I'm sure the pull of defending his billiards title is almost unturndownable. I guess that if he defends his title that he has to convince himself that he wouldn't be kicking himself if he missed out on the snooker tour by a couple of thousand pounds

its unquestionable how good he is at billiards but Snooker at this level is a new challenge for him yes defending his WC is a pull and rightly so but if it was me id want the challenge that snooker would give him as a Billiards Legend.

and my point or opinion has 0% to do with me being a snooker fan.

Fantastic performance from Amateur or Non Tour Player Oliver Brown beating Former World Championship Runner up Nigel Bond 6-3.

Oliver last year represented Team Snooker Island in the Snooker Festival at the SWSA.

Jimmy had a nice result today. Against Highfield too who is more than no mug. Played well too. Some solid breaks and a 55 dish to win one frame by a point. Ditto for Davis. Terrific that these two fellas still represent snooker at the highest level and do it proud. Anyone who took advantege of the free snooker today will have enjoyed themselves. great stuff.

Going back to Pankaj, the money on offer in Chengdu is a good as prize money, however the pot of gold for winning the billiards through Indian endorsements will dwarf anything he can win there. Mind you if he doesn't win then he'd probably lose out overall by skipping.

Anyway, no real surprises in the snooker yet unless I've missed something.

Of course Holt with his recent form would be one but he would have been jet lagged and also struggled with light coming from the adjacent streamed table. Possibly the tiredness of jet lag made his eyes more sensitive than they would otherwise have been. Either way, he wasn't a happy bunny.

Shame Scott Donaldson lost. He was 3-1 up when I last saw the scores.

:hatoff: That really tells how Robbo played, tons of 105 in the 1st, 136 total clearance in the 3rd, 105 in the 5th and another total clearance of 140 in the 8th frame... 4 Tons in a best of 11 is really something, some players don't even get 4 tons in a season nevermind in a single match!

Robbo is really on a hot strech since this season began, let's hope he doesn't run out of steam on the 2nd half of the season.
