ROS' withdrawal - this was because of a family bereavement (if this hasn't been mentioned already).

hmmmmmm fair enough then but Ronnie is the prime candidate for the boy that cried wolf and sympathy gets very thin on the ground after a while.

Big deal.
There hasn't been a halfway decent Australian player since Eddie Charlton.

Just seen Robbo's max... that break was just
The best max I've ever watched by a country mile given some of the shots Neil had to play there.. the 3rd to last red springs to mind, the last red too was a cracking shot, and of course the pink wasn't easy at all given the narrow angle to left middle and the black was a very thin one too.
One thing I don't understand is why on earth do they ONLY show the camera that shows the whole table and they don't show the players expressions, etc.. do they only have that camera? no cameraman there? Christ there were some PTCs in this very same arena last season and the season before that had a cameraman showing the players lining up shots, etc... And this is a much important event than a ptc and they only show that camera...
Ha well, same World Snooker, as always.

Judd Trump goes 3-0 up on Phil O'Kane in double quick time.
Meanwhile The Whinger is currently 2-0 down to Michael Leslie on the other TV table. Time to get the popcorn out!

with this flat 128 system you dont really need wild Cards in the final venue because already qualified are 6 Chinese players and there's a few others to come

Catching up with a few results. Been busy. Looks like I missed out on a lot.
Good old Reanne Evans!
And another one for Robertson.

I got the wrong bus so I was late for the Robertson match, I got there just as they were coming out for the interval and they were all talking about an amazing 147, gutted! I then watched Nigel Bond beat Chris Norbury, which was 2-2 when I started watching it but Bond ended up winning, was quite impressed by Norbury though. I saw the Ding match, I thought Aditya Metah was very impressive and in the end Ding did well to just edge it. For the evening session I wanted to see Judd Trump but he was in the smaller television room so the seats were taken up quickly, fair enough though that Allen was in the main arena, I guess because he's a former champion (2009). Also I really enjoyed the Allen match anyway, he was class at times and knocked in two centuries.

Well it's impressive he's doing it against Rod Lawler as well, who eats young attacking players for breakfast these days.
