Players have been announced to the audience. It's been decided who'll break in the 1st frame.
Player nominated to break discover's he has left his cue case keys in the dressing room. How does the Referee deal with the matter?

The rules state that if his opponent is Shaun Murphy, he gets docked a frame.

Dan-cat you're spot-on. The rule would be the same if the opponent was someone other than Shaun Murphy.
Now Let's suppose that Player A break's off. Player B discover's he has left his cue case keys in the dressing room. How does the Referee deal with the scenario?
How can player B avoid being docked a frame?

DAN-CAT the solution isn't as drastic as you suggest.
If he's quick thinking he may put up a desperate show and ask the referee to go for a comfort break!
Get his cue case key.
Come back to the arena adjusting his trouser's zip with a vacant grin on his face; and, continue as if he'd the key in his possession all the time!

Ha! I dunno if that would work, as the player should be ready to start play at the allotted time i.e. made sure he'd been to the loo. But.. I guess he could claim he had a bladder infection or something I s'pose and that it had come on urgently....

DAN-CAT you've have it.
Not necessary to suggest urinary tract infection.
Urgency to use the loo is sufficient!!!!!

I once had to have a p*ss in a coffee cup in my car. On the M1. With my mum in the passenger seat.
