Marco looks in good form. He's made five centuries in this group, alhough I think he'd rather have played well in Galway than Crondon Park

This is the scenario i worked out hour and a half ago
Ryan Day v Andrew Higginson
if Higginson wins that match then hes through to the Play offs if Day wins that match then Higginson is out and Milkins survives.
Stephen Maguire v Dominic Dale
if Higginson wins then Maguire and Dale needs at least 1 frame to sent Milkins home if they lose 3-0 then Milkins survives and Maguire or Dale goes home depending on who loses 3-0

Another group final for Maguire, 3-1 win over Higginson.
No being sent to the next group for the loser, all or nothing now.

Mags needs some comeback now. 2-0 down. He'll be gutted after just missing that black.

The criteria for next seasons Premier League not been set this time around so we don't know who might get a spot in the event or not.
The previous 2 years Tournament winners + the winner of this goes in.
So with 5 of the 7 players already Ranking tournament winners this season this is still i guess their best bet to be guaranteed a spot in the Premier League whatever the concept of that event will be next season.

the main problem for Mark Allen not that hes 6th with 2 points after 5 matches but hes only got 7 frames after 5 matches and been whitewashed twice.
Ding Junhui is now safely in to the play offs with a 3-2 win over Barry Hawkins but who will join him?
with a win over Gould and Allen John Higgins currently in 7th spot with 1 win after 4 matches can even reach the play offs so with 5 matches to play in the Group phase anyone can still win this years championship league.

With a 3-0 win over Gould John Higgins pushes Mark Allen down to 7th but with 5 out of 7 players on 2 points at the Bottom its still all to play for.
if Fu beats Carter then Fu is in the Play offs with Ding Junhui both won the championship league Marco Fu in 2010 and Ding Junhui last year.

Believe it or not NO
im trying to work out scenarios and boy its not easy.
the loser of Higgins v Allen will finish 7th and Last but we could have a scenario where 2nd down to 6th finishes on 3 wins then it depends on frame scores and Allen would be struggling on that score.
to give Allen a chance 2 things must Happen Ding beating Gould and Carter beating Hawkins

if
Ding Beats Gould
Carter Beats Hawkins
Winner of Higgins v Allen makes the semi finals
if Gould beats Ding then both Allen and Higgins are out
Current score Ding 0-2 Gould

So even if either Higgins or Allen win their match, they can' make it to the playoffs as Gould beat Ding 3-1 earlier, right?
