it wasn't really jinxing as in fact at the time of writing he was indeed in, but broke down early..
Want him so much to go through.. the Crucible needs a player like him.. not Rod the Plod.. though if the latter qualifies it's deserved with everything he has done this season.

That always happens, so annoying when writing, send it through then the break ends.
Gould needs to go through, to save Snooker.

Having Rod Lawler at the Crucible can't hurt can it? I mean 2011 had Rory McLeod, and it was an amazing tournament. And it's not like we have a shortage of attacking players.

We already have many exciting players who got through qualifying, but yeah Gouldy is an absolute class act and always brings something special, so it would be a tremendous shame if he didn't qualify.

But it's Rod Lawler.
Despite many attacking players going through, the Crucible needs Martin Gould.

Anyway, all you Rodney haters have your wish. Gould through 10-7. He'll be probably be drawn to face Robbo in last 16 again.

Only Maflin v Ebdon and Kind v Delu left..
Would like Maflin to make it... don't mind about the toher, though it would be nice if Delu made it for the 1st time and have only the 2nd player from China to make it through qualifying.

In terms of the prediction contest, although I won't put up the final table until conclusion of play, I'd like to announce that Andre is the winner, as he currently has a 29 point lead and there are only 28 points left up for grabs.
