I think Dave H told Matt to ask him whether losing that ninth was a sign of Holt's clinchers disease ;-)

Ken Doherty 2-6 Matthew Selt
Tom Ford 3-5 Alan McManus
Martin Gould 2-3 Rod Lawler
Mark Davis 5-4 Liang Wenbo

its safe to say Rod Lawler is dictating the pace of the match with Gould

Does seem to be the case, Gould will be frustrated here, doesn't seem to be getting chances to make a frame winning break.

If Gould was playing against someone faster with a different style, the session would of probably finished by now.

Rod Lawler is having a blinding season hes up to 59th in the rankings and had he had starter points of about 8,000 like last season he would have been in the top 50.

Day and Ben isn't bad, but Higginson and White is.. I like to watch Michael White play mind you, but would much rather watch Fu and Gilbert or even Lisoswki and fergal wouldn't be that bad.

Great morning of qualifying action so far. Poomjaeng and Holt almost there and Lisowski once again shows his promise.

Below is an update report of the action so far - please feel free to take a look. I've led on Lisowski just because of the quality of his comeback against Fergal O'Brien and a lot of snooker fans are talking about him as a future star.

Let's hope we do not have any more of this situations here.. Ben will be furious though cause he lost that frame eventually and will feel his rythm was disrupted by the ref cause of all that with the scores <doh> <doh> <doh>

D. hendon - "To clarify: the scoreboard twice went wrong and there were long discussions about what the actual scores were. Ref panicked a bit."
