Don't know.. maflin has proved he can cope well with thse kind of slower players.. so honestly I would still favour Maflin even if Ebdon makes it 9-8.

Yes he beat Steve Davis but Ebdon is stronger in my opinion. He wants to win this match badly, trust me. And he's edging closer.

Peter Ebdon never failed to qualify for the Crucible in his entire career. He got to the quarter finals on his debut in 1992.

I think he's one of four to have done that. Other three were Terry Griffiths, Hendry and Ronnie. Might have missed someone though.

Interesting. No John Higgins or Mark Williams there. Makes that record even more impressive.

Another reason why I'm certain Ebdon will win this. 9-8.

Yu seems to be something of a long match specialist. I remember he made it to this round and it took Hendry to stop him. And he smashed Michael White 10-2 and beat Selt pretty comfortably as well.

Anyway he's 9-8 up now. Just one more...

I thought Maflin would win that. Ebdon probably just destroyed him mentally. I cannot see Ebdon beating anyone at The Crucible apart from Walden.
