Martin O'Donnell and Daniel Wells makes a venue for the First time as of Right But Daniel Wells was awarded a Wild Card to play at the German Masters in 2011 when he was a Amateur of course and he Beat Liu Song 5-2 before Losing to Stephen Maguire in the last 32.

In Berlin Martin O'Donnell plays Mark Williams and Daniel Wells plays a Last 64 Match with Neil Robertson.

talking of Liu Song, whats he up to these days, havent seen his name crop up anywhere in PTCs or even APTCs since he fell off the main tour.

Also while i remember is Lasse Munstermann still playing

I must admit at this moment in time given the lack of money in snooker im inclined to say this 33-64 v 65-96 Round 1 format with winners playing top 32 (best matches held over to the venue) is the best way to go meantime.

I know the tours getting propped up to 128 players but i think at the moment 96 is plenty and this flatter qualifying structure is a good balance between the teired set up and totally flat qualifying, as it levels the playing field but still seeds the top 32 through to the 2nd round.
