Meanwhile Pankaj is through with 6-2 over Sam Baird.

Ever think of being a commentator Monique?

It's now 4-3 to Scott. Luca appeared cruising but a foul on the blue allowed Scott to step in and come back in the frame. However he missed the final green and couldn't seal it in that visit. A safety battle followed. Luca potted an excellent green but then took a risky long brown, missed it and Scott didn't need second invitation.

Wild WC wrote:i think the problem with lucas game is hes too casual and he plays some very careless shots that costs him frames and ultimately matches.

That's what I meant when writing about giving Scott enough respect. Luca scored a 136 in the next though and now trails 4-5.

Luca won the lengthy safety battle - it started with a containing safety and Scott made a mistake with all reds scattered everywhere - made a good 47 with mainly low colors and managed to seal it on his next visit after another mistake by Scott.
Scott though gave him a very good game though and he should progress this season. He has the potential.

Jewell wrote:Yeah, I think so.

I think he'll have a career similar to that of a Michael Holt or a Rory McLeod. To me, he hasn't displayed any outstanding ability that a hundred others don't have.

neither had Luca in his first season

Australian Open Last 96 Lost 5-1 to Sam Baird
Shanghai Masters Pre Qualifying Lost 5-4 to Adam Duffy
UK Championship Last 96 Lost 6-5 to Ian McCulloch
German Masters Last 96 Lost 5-1 to Joe Swail
Welsh Open Last 96 Lost 4-0 to Yu DeLu
World Open Last 96 Lost 5-3 to Sam Baird

it wasent until the China Open before Luca started to string things together

Scott Donaldson missed the First 2 Tournament of the season and then in his First Ranking event reached the Last 64

So at this stage of this Season Scott is in fact ahead of Luca at the same point in ranking events.

I've had the opportunity to speak to Scott and the lad has a good head on his young shoulders. He needs time to adjust to pro life like every other rookie, that's all. And, sonny, if you are bored … he could be a good candidate for an interview.

Came home to see O'neill 5-0 up  Although he's been pegged back to 5-2 he surely can't lose from here?

Looks like Scott Donaldson took Luca to a decider. Think he'll be a good player. Not surprised that Luca made three tons in the match, but am a bit surprised take Scott still got five frames when Luca was playing that well.

Also Pankaj through :D Baird made two centuries and lost 6-2. Tough school. Now Pankaj is ready to ruin the Davis/White fans' party.

<doh>

Eh i champion the cause of a player when I HAVE seen some real substance <ok>

I dont jump on the bandwagon though, i start the bandwagon <ok>

As for Sonny championing this guy Brecel beat, im sorry but i dont see any difference to him and ten a penny young players

As for Luca though, even Wild can surely see hes the real deal
