I was at Telford the year Stephen Hendry played Steve Davis in the UK Championship first round. It was an amazing atmosphere, I can tell ya. It really felt like a battle of the legends.
I was at Stephen Hendry vs Jimmy White in Telford the next year too. Though neither of them played particularly well, it was a full house.

For once, he's got a point.
I'm all for new talent arriving on the scene, but who didn't want to see that match? For old time's sake if nothing else.
if it happened it happened i was also looking forward to see if Davis gets revenge over Pankaj Advani after he beat him in the last Ranking event the IC.

Am back. Good to see Pankajwin. Hope he beats Davis as well. Shame about Adi though...
Luca also marching on, with two centuries as well. That's five in total in two matches. A top16 player would be happy with that.
Also
Andy Hicks for his max.

But I'm not like Witz, I don't jump on the bandwagon of a player until I've seen some real substance.

for me the only 147s that should count on a list are ones compiled at the venue stages of a main ranker
lets face it, were hardly going to be subjected to any of these tinpot event or qualifier "maxes" on a classic 147s site,
in 100 years we all know what the most shown 147s will still be....
and for the record its a joke Spencers max doesnt count as the 1st ever

yeh i know but ones that arent made at a venue in front of a crowd and on tv just dont have the same prestige or importance, plus undoubtedly less pressure in a cubicle than an arena

I was supporting Adi way before Sonny interviewed him. I support Pankaj less, but again nothing to do with Sonny's interview.
