NO

if Barry Hearn had offers on the table for more Ranking Events he would do it in a heartbeat he is hoping someone will come forward with more Cash to turn some of the PTC in Europe to full Rankers however until then its PTC.

Why on earth have three PTCs in China then there's already a load of ranking events there and obviously the money flowing in - if it's about needing cash for the ranking events why not just have them China instead of Asian PTCs?

PTC in china are for a different reason the pool of players in china is massive but they cant afford to come over here to try Q school..

Next season there's 4 players on the main tour through APTC and possibly a few more depending on results elsewhere but now they got a Order of Merit to pick players from.

You mean players like Jin Long who've already had their shot at the main tour?

Hope this doesn't turn out to be another Ronnie-Williams matchups when Mark plays him... but it's certainly a mental barrier... Higgins has that power in him to do exactly that to his opponents... that's how good he is and how good his match play skils are

Well Played Higgins :hatoff:

Just like Ronnie onwed Williams for the past 10 years, winning all meetings, and that's doesn't make Mark a "waste of space" like you said... There are just some players that even the best players can't cope with, and certainly Higgins is the only man at the moment who owns him.

And, even though Higgins is approaching his 40s, he still plays to a levelthat sometimes can be quite staggering... his C game can beat most players, and that's how good he is...

Higgins C game is his A game and im sick of it

when does he ever win a game or frame easily,

Wild tourists Davis off but Higgins is the king of hit and run snooker combined with Ebdons mind games and intensity.

Shame on Judd for allowing himself to be brainwashed by this highly over rated and lucky shyster

Yeah I agree on that... Higgins very rarely plays his true A game, but his superb matchplay skills are what wins him most matches, and it certainly pays off against Judd at the moment, and not just sheer luck

Trump wouldn't have been in the top 8 in the mid 90s. He can't even beat Higgins when Higgins is light years past his best. What a pathetic joke the 'Girlie Bristolian' is,

Imagine if a prime Hendry had played this Bristol joke in a world final. Trump is only good for Twitter.

Exactly

but trump game deteriorate badly in the final he obviously has a mental block playing higgins and in many ways that's the aim of snooker putting the fear factor in to players that it makes great players look average..

Higgins did what he had to do and one can only congratulate him for it.

Slightly off topic we were reflecting yesterday after the final, with Matt (prosnookerblog) and Steve (maximumsnooker) about what looks like a bit of a pattern.

When John Higgins won his first PTC in Germany, he also had struggled through the tournament and had to play his final shortly after winning his semi final (amusingly, it was Hamilton that time as well) and he totally dominated Shaun Murphy who had several hours "rest" and had looked in great shape through the entire competition.

Similarly, Rod Lawler won his first PTC (and first pro competition) having played one match after another without any real break on the last day, while his opponent should have been fresher.

Could it be that, with such short format, coming to the match high on adrenaline and "warm" is more important than being "fresh", but cold and having to settle again?

Although TBH, Judd started with a century so in this particular case it probably wasn't a factor. But still. Opinions?

It's an interesting thought, and maybe if you've only finished your previous game a few minutes earlier, you are more 'on' than somebody who has had a longer rest.

How many times have we seen a Mid-Session interval change a game? When somebody who is in white-hot form before the break, suddenly get pegged back afterwards? It's been speculated before that the person with a 4-0 win at the MSI that goes on to lose 5-4 in a BO9 may well have won had it not been for the MSI.

We can never really measure that, but it's an interesting point you raise.

I might be exaggerating a bit when I say he's past it but his best years are behind him now. And the best player in the world isn't currently playing.

People seem to like making out Higgins is really rubbish when he isn't.

When I was the Higgins vs Trump Crucible Final there were some guys round me in the final session that kept badmouthing Higgins. Saying how rubbish he was, what a flukester he was. Trump was much better. Higgins won.

Of course the same blokes didn't think Trump was rubbish when he got beat by somebody they'd labelled 'rubbish'.

People should watch the Higgins/Trump World Final again and see how Higgins won it. You're bloody stupid if you think he played poorly, it was a match play master class.

When did Higgins last win a frame, match or tournament easy playing a dominant brand of snooker?

Let's see, in the last PTC he made many frame winning breaks.

Even though he was often behind in matches he still came out the dominant player, he won.

What does "winning easy" have to do with anything? The goal is winning, period.

Not sure what you're trying to allude to here, is there a point to your Exhibit A?

IMO I'd rather go straight from one match to the next with this short format. Rest is nice but if one's already in the flow I think it best to keep it going.

Judd coming right out with a ton is more the exception than the norm, most times players require a couple of frames to get the cue arm going. In short format events if you can bypass the need for those opening/warmup frames you have a huge advantage over others coming in cold.
