Who says Snooker Players don't get any breaks these Days The Main Tour takes 2 week Off now and the Next time they will be in Action will be 10th of August in Gloucester.

Do the most of it and not Play in some minor tournaments on a Oil Rig or something stupid like that.

on Wednesday PTC Snooker is Back and the Amateurs are in Action with some Amataurs they played so well in PTC 1 That they are seeded inside the Top 64 and will join the Action with The Professionals.

91 Pros are Taking part with 7 Amateur Players seeded inside the Top 64 leaving only places for 30 qualifiers from the Amateur Rounds which is a Improvement from the way they Did it Last year.

Basically if All 99 Pros + the 7 top 64 Amateurs had entered PTC 2 There would only be room for 22 qualifiers from the amateur rounds but it rewards Amateur players who do well unlike last year.

Playing as A Top 64 player will be Snooker Island Member Gareth Allen aka gaz147

From Travelbite website "Research conducted by ETOA [European Tour Operators Association] reveals that hundreds of millions of pounds are lost to the UK economy every year because the visa process is so alienating that applicants give up and decide to go elsewhere ... UK Visa's require forms to be filled out in English, are much longer than other applications [for EU countries] and prospective visitors have to submit fingerprints, a photo, and make themselves available for an interview at a location that can be hundreds of miles from where they live".

It's most probably a tragedy for the young man. That's his dreams and all he's practiced for and earned by winning a major amateur competition crushed. Throwing him out and give his spot to someone else would be the final blow. Iran is probably one of the most problematic countries. If WS can do something they should. If the lad can only come to play mid-season, he should be offered a scholarship and a two years spot next season. The best amateur - in PTCs/rankers - could be given a tour spot and credited the points he would have earned as a pro competing in the events he's competed in.

why doesnt he hide in a haulage truck like a lot of assylum seakers do, he could put his chalk in his pocket and his cue would not take up much space.....and doing it this way no visa required. :pal:
