How is the selection rubbish?

World Snooker is going to televise those with higher rankings plain and simple.

They also recognize that there is more than one style of play and fans of each style that shouldn't be prevented from watching their choices simply because some others don't appreciate it.

Who would watch snooker if it was nothing but one visit drama free frames? ADD sufferers and 9 ball fans that's who ;-)

not talking about rankings or style of player they just dont use their brains most that work there would be out of work if i was in charge bunch of idiots.

they should pick best matches well these hammers cant pick their bucking noses without cocking it up

Given the amount of time they need to spend organizing and such I suspect all they can do is use the rankings to guide their match selection.

One doesn't need to even follow the sport to be able to do basic administration so how could they know what matches to pick beyond using the ranking list as a guide?

It would be interesting to see what would happen if they broadcast all matches online and then used the viewing stats to determine the best matches to televise in the future.
