Very impressive. No offense to Ding or Stephen, but I'd like them to lose tomorrow and give the rising young stars, Cao and Xiao, a chance to shine.

Also a possibility of the second ever all-Asian professional final, although it'll be slightly less prestigious than the Masters.

I wonder who will be leeding after the first frame

Semi Finals have started and Ding Junhui takes the first frame against Cao Yupeng and in the other Stephen Lee leads Xiao Guodong 1-0

Ding snookered Cao behind the blue, devilishly. Cao's escape - at first attempt and using the rest - was shot of the tournament for what I've seen.

Lee is already 3-0 up Xiao and in a break after Xiao missed black off the spot at 41.

It's 1-1 baring snooker in the Ding v Cao match.
Xiao pulls one back, still trails 1-3.

Ding makes it 2-1 with a century (110).
Xiao pulls another one back, now trailing 2-3. Go lad!

Lee in after Xiao went in-off. At least 6 reds in the open. Pink probably not available, not sure about the black. Image on the screen is very poor.

Lee split went wrong. Plays safe, 23-0 up.

Ding cruising to 3-1.
Xiao flukes a red, takes a difficult green on, misses it and Lee is in again.

Poor safety from Cao and Ding is first in the the fifth. The way he's playing, this could be the last.
Lee can't get position after a shot with the rest. He's 43-1 up but plays a poor safety and Xiao gets a chance.

Xiao only makes 6 of it. Misses whilst playing at speed. It seems he got away with it though, leaves nothing. But Lee plays an excellent safety.
In the other match, Ding misses at 40 and Cao is in a break, 19 and counting.

Xiao has won the safety battle, but can only make 16 of it. All remaining reds were on cushions. He has got one out, but not "out" enough and he misses it, and leaves it.
Meanwhile Cao is 58-40 with just one red left. Doesn't fancy it and plays a very good snooker.

Xiao has conceded the match as soon as he needed snookers (all was open by now). Lee wins 4-2.
Cao is now 69-40 up with 25 on the table.

Cao duly clears with an exhibition black. Trails 2-3.

Cao was first in but made only 22. Ding clearing up now, 80 up with 25 on the table. It's 4-2 to Ding.

Final is underway.
Lee takes the first one on the black. Both players had any number of chances any missed all sorts.

Not looking good for Ding. Lee found his stride and won the second rather fluently. Was about to write and he is in again, but he just missed the green.

Lee 3-0 up now and in again. No way back for Ding I'm afraid.

Shame Xiao and Cao couldn't win their semis, and looks like Lee ruined the all-Asian final. Still Ding and Lee are the better players, so was to be expected really.

Also Stephen Lee for winning the event. One final and one win. More than guarantees his place in the Grand Finals, where he'll be able to defend his title, unlike Murphy.
