Probably not. Monique wouldn't know where to point her camera if that happened.

is this being televised in china ?
Yes, I think so. I'm here with the CCTV5 crew and if you look at my latest album additions you will see the telly trucks there.
Also 4 tables are filmed, so I suppose there must be streaming.

I'm currently uploading the evening matches pictures with the much anticipated return of Long Wang. Now, I barely dare to reveal this but there is also a player going by the name of Long Yun playing tonight, but they don't play each other. Shame! they would have been a match.

About visas.
When I was in Shanghai I met Ja and Maruta there, two of the "girls from Ukraine" who attend a lot of tournaments (only Ja is from Ukraine BTW) and Ja was telling me that her first ever live snooker tournament had been the China Open years ago. As I was a bit nonplussed she told me that for her - an Ukrainian - it's a LOT easier to get a visa to China than one for the UK.
So Brits, before you rant at players and ask them to be banned because they "can't be bothered" … think and ask your self and your authorities why it's so difficult.

Eirian Williams is taking pictures to help and assess new Chinese referees - It's easier to explain them where they should stand for the best efficiency by showing pictures

Ding missed at 40. Oli just potted the pink for 36 but snookered himself big time on the two remaining reds. Third attempt coming now…

Oli gave 12 points penalty and left it. Ding missed it (wasn't easy), then Oli missed it as well (looked like a sitter) … Ding past the winning post now. TBH Oli had him. With more experience he'd win this.

Ricky Walden just beat Yu Delu 4-3. This was a very close game. Neither player was at their best but it's somehow understandable. According to Ricky, conditions are very tough, pockets very tight and table playing slow. It's extremely hot and humid outside and despite a very good airco, it feels to an extend inside as well.

It really brings it home to you reading these results the amont of up-and-comers coming from China/Asia in general.
Scroll down those matches. Even if you take the likes of Ding out as an already established star (and Liang Wenbo to a lesser extent the same), and then took out all the other players that you've either watched, or heard of as being future stars, there are several Asian lads there that the majority of people won't know anything about. Like Monique said earlier, the scary thing is some of the Chinese boys are 13 or 14 and they are competing with the big names.
We're constantly told how big snooker is in China, but it's events like this that really bring it home to you the mass interest from Chinese players.
