He beat Ronnie twice in the 2011/12, Ronnie beat him once.
And Judd played in all these 3 matches like he did against Fu in the first session.

Trump needs to play his best snooker like against Robbo in the International Championship. Murphy and Fu squandered a lot of chances, Ronnie won't, he will punish him for every mistake.

I hope he does just that. :hatoff:

Top players that Ronnie beats easily -

Murphy
Maguire
Carter
Williams

Top players he struggles against -

Higgins
Selby
Trump

There is a clear patteren there. Trump's best game is better than Murphy's imo. Judd has yet to hit top gear, he he plays Ronnie, he will be 2nd fav but not by as much if it was Murphy.

Id add DING to the list of players he has a hold over

Also Stevens, although I don't know if he's really considered a top player anymore

Ha, you say that because he beat him in the 2008 UK Championship. Besides that Joe came very close a couple of times but never beat him (example Perry missed match ball in the 2009 Masters)

just play the worlds again

I doubt it very much,Ronnie admitted he was bored in his 11 month break.

I reckon he will just play the big tournies to keep himself where he needs to.

The Uk and World Crown will be what he should target,Masters would be a bonus,

Fair enough,I stand corrected on that one.Your memory is probably better than mine on this one.

I just seem to remember throwing Perry a lifeline or two in the uk one year.
I maybe did make an assumption there.

None of us is perfect mate.

I much as I dislike him, I think ROS should compete next season, just to give the others something to aim at. If he's sitting at home, players will get complacent and think their current standard is acceptable when it's not.

What's made Ronnie especially dangerous this year is that no one knew how he'd play in match conditions. If they knew how well he was playing, they can prepare better.

yes i agree hope he plays more

So do i Gj,He has another 5 years max at top level and thats because he keeps fit.
He is a one-off,I dont think there will be another who can get close to ronnies break building ability.

The guy is just magic and so down to earth with it.

Because he's the bucking Champion of the World. It's the pinnacle of every sport. The World Champion deserves a place in every event.

O'Sullivan would be slight favourite against Trump if he played him, but not by much. O'Sullivan would be a massive favourite against Murphy. The reason O'Sullivan played so well today was because he knows Bingham cannot beat him here. He also knows Murphy hasn't much chance to beat him. However, he knows if Trump hits top form he can take the match away from O'Sullivan, that breeds fear into O'Sullivan and would make him vulnerable, and y=this is where O'Sullivan comes unstuck. All of a sudden he starts missing and get isn't the same player. Most of this game is in the mind. O'Sullivan at 5-0 up against Bingham can look unbeatable, but if he is 6-6 with Trump he would be nowhere near the same player. The situation dictates what happens.

O'Sullivan vs Trump and it is 5/6 vs 6/5
O'Sullivan vs Murphy and it is 1/6 vs 6/1

Just thought that idea was being scrapped for next season,RONNIE WILL BE IN MASTERS IF HE WINS AS SEED NO.2

Not gonna argue with that <ok>

To an extend. While every player comes in the same round, seeding will still happen. Not like being seeded 2 or 20-something would bother Ronnie. If he wanted to get into the Masters he would.

He was never going to take protection 100% away, which is why there's seeding. Otherwise, you'd get players that could win events e.g. Judd and Robbo, face each other first round.
