Ebbo gets the Lee bye as well. That should make up for his losing out in the PL

I'm proper pysched for this Chinese tourny and have booked the Wednesday and Thursday off work. Gonna sit me down - feed myself proper - drink myself proper - and fill myself full of snooker goodness. I will then go to the zoo for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

Hard to say second biggest. We haven't seen it in action yet and don't know how it'll all turn out, so we can't make a fair comparison to the UK yet. Plus it's brand new and doesn't have the UK's prestige. For all we know it could have crowds like Wuxi or Haikou.

Although one plus point is that it's during half term, so I can watch every match :-D

final was best of 19 :D

the r1 games i remember well were Higgins- Rory (god knows how Rory bottled that one), Mags - Hendo, Ding-Davis (Ding with the mad fluke to win it), Murphy-Lan and ironcially Jogis fightback attempt V mjw.

ive cheated and looked on wiki there at the 2nd round and quarter line ups to freshen my memory and there were a good half a dozen or so belter best of 11s

I'd love for there to be a Matthew Stevens vs Ken Doherty match, but if it involves Ken having to win a match these days it's far from a certainty.

depressing to think that doherty is a former world champion and matt stevens isn't. :-(

People forget how good Matthew Stevens was at one point in his career. He won the UK and the Masters, and made two World Finals. People remember him for just being a bottle-job now.

Good think Sundaygirl isn't posting in this thread. I don't think I could take two Matthew Stevens fans at a time.
