With China next week they probably could have done with not being in this event - but I guess it's decent money.

but theres nothing better than playing than just hanging around practicing.
proberbly secretly Barry Hearn Hopes one of them or Ding wins it if Judd,Allen or Robbo wins then that gives him options with the Wild Card and Ding will Proberbly get it Without a Doubt.

Just had a cracker of a match between Murphy and Davis. Davis fought from 2-0 down to 2-2 with some brilliant and needed three snookers at one point and got two of them before Murphy got over the line. Not bad for a best of 5. Shame Davis can't seem to replicate that kind of form at venues...

Great comeback from Barry Hawkins who was trailing 2-0 to Judd Trump. He made it 2-2 with two century breaks then made a superb 56 clearance to win the match.

Basically there is 75% of Ding getting a PL place (he can win the CL or Allen/Judd can win and he will get a place for being the winner of the Welsh) and a 25% chance of Hawkins getting a place.

yup you would think Hawkins is just about the only Player that can stop Ding playing in the PL Next season.

Ding wins 3-1, but what a horrible way to lose the match for Hawkins... Ding already needed a snooker in frame 4, and it was almost certain that Hawkins was gonna take it to a decider, but when he put too much right hand side when escaping from a simple snooker, with the brown the ball on. Ding cleared up and won it in the end. That was a simple snooker, and hawkins should never have missed that brown, but there it goes..
Trump v Ding in the final.. Trump already with a well and truly secured place in PL, as for Ding, he isnt secured a place, despite winning the Welsh Open, so will be trying his hardest to win.
