Did the Chinese misunderstand something or why didn't they enter any of their U21 players in the U18? With many Europeans like Andres Petrov, Rodion Judin and the Polish not in the U21 it looks like the best players are missing from both tournaments.

If anyone's interested, 4 tables are streamed for this. You need to get up early for them, today's matches just ending. Jackson Page's match still on, rematch of the European U18 final against Amir Nardeia.

Page got the 3 snookers he needed in the decider but Nardeia potted the blue and pink for the win. So Page out without even getting to play the best Asians. Bottom half was full of Asians though, and the Chinese beat the Hong Kong players in the quarters so a Chinese player guaranteed in the final.
Semi finals
Muhammad Naseem Akhtar v Amir Nardeia
Peifan Lei v Junjie Bo

I'm not too sure kolompar. Maybe they were restricted with the numbers they could put in both competitions?
An interesting line up for the Semis. Seems Nardeia's run at the Euros was no fluke!

Guess they didn't take the U18 too seriously and wanted more players to gain experience. But it worked out for them, they have a player in the final.

Well done Akhtar, now let's see how he can do against the better Chinese in the U21. Has Geng Mingqi in his group.

Mingqi the merciless. If it isn't his nickname, it should be.

He looked unbeatable in the first two frames but then started missing a few but still won 4-3. World U18 title unofficially lost.
