Indian Junior Championship 2015 9-11 Jan

Postby roy142857

In India the Junior Championship continues with its weird format of a knock-out competition to find the last 4, and then a round robin between the last 4 to decide the champion. HIgh break was top seed Ishpreet Chadha with a 107 in the Last 16, but he didn't have a good quarter final against qualifier Avinash Kumar...

Quarter finals
Avinash Kumar 3 - 0 Ishpreet Chadha
ML Laxman 3 - 2 K Rakesh
Hritik Jain 3 - 0 Johnson Narsidani
S Shrikrishna 3 - 0 Nimesh Kulkarni

Round Robin
Avinash Kumar 4 - 1 ML Laxman
Hritik Jain 4 - 1 S Shrikrishna
Avinash Kumar 4 - 2 Hritik Jain
S Shrikrishna 4 - 1 ML Laxman
Avinash Kumar 4 - 1 S Shrikrishna
ML Laxman 4 - 3 Hritik Jain

Congratulations to Avinash Kumar of Delhi ! :win:

Despite his top seeding in the Junior Championship, Ishpreet Chadha is young enough to compete in the Sub-Junior Championship, which he won, defeating Shobhit Sethi 3 - 0 in the final
