English Festival of Snooker 3-6 April - open to all players

Postby roy142857

Easter weekend will see the EASB Festival of Snooker take place at Northern Snooker, Leeds. Entry is £50 and players get to compete in the Paul Hunter Open, an age dependent event (under 21s, 21-49, 50+) and a random draw Scotch Doubles event (alternate shot) with partners re-drawn after each round until the semis (that's just a little crazy!).

All events open to players regardless of Nationality or playing status, but main tour pros will be handicapped 14 points per frame in the Paul Hunter Open. If Stuart Carrington (the reigning Paul Hunter Open Champion) enters he will have automatic entry to the knockout stage, all other players will play group matches in the Paul Hunter Open.

On the Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings the first 64 players putting their name forward "as per rules given on each day by the Tournament Directors" (what does that mean?) will play a one frame knockout competition open to all players regardless of whether they have entered the Festival. Entry £5 for festival entrants, £10 for other players.
