Romanian National Snooker League

In Romania, the top 16 players are invited to play in a year long series of elite tournaments, starting in January and culminating in December just before their national championships. At the end of the season, the bottom 4 players get relegated and the top 4 from the main senior rankings get promoted into the elite.

Daniel Bontea dominated in 2011, winning 7 of 10 tournaments - but he's already crashed out in the first round of the first tournament this year.

Remarkably for a national amateur tour, they update results during the tournament - this first event is running through to a final on Sunday, tournament grid link below if anyone fancies keeping an eye on it!
