That's not a surprise to me after watching Ewa at the Euro Teams. Ewa is a tough match player who can knock in good breaks but who can also grind out the frames.

Reading the blog it was felt that Anastasia and Daria would make a big impact on the Europeans but with Anastasia out it is going to take a monumental effort from Daria to overturn Wendy Jans who is posting more breaks than anyone.

Wendy can wobble though and did at the World in Syria but I cannot see her being too troubled until the final. Daria is her only stumbling block. I watched Daria knock in a 62 then clear the table with a 30+ in the Teams against Gaye Jones in the Semi Finals to take her to the play off against Hannah so she has the ability but Wendy's experience should carry her through.

Sad that his decision (which I'm still sure was the right one) to go out there hasn't paid off ...

There's some real smart players in these tournaments that are always going to be dangerous, even though not fantastic players they KNOW the game, no shame really to have lost to Hendrickx, smart player who might have been that much better if he'd started earlier (didn't start snooker 'til mid teens).

Both Gaz and Darryl Hill beat Lukas Krenek in the group matches ... they're out, he's through. Remember being frustrated watching Lukas last year, great pots constantly followed by getting out of position ...
