Possibly the lowest standard frame of Snooker ever televised.
Taylor looked physically great for a 79-year old.
I can give him a pass due to his age, even when he completely missed the red he was going for with ball in hand, but that guy he was playing was awful.
Alfie Lee looked a legit prospect (I only watched his first match last night) with a bit of seasoning, although Fouldsy's eulogizing over him was getting a bit tiresome.

Massive fluke on the red for Ryan Davies got him back into the frame but Aiden Owens has held on and into the week's final.

A couple of silly errors yesterday, but even more convinced that within a few years Alfie Lee will be on the tour and a top 64 (if not higher) player.

I’ve watched some of this and I think it’s the greatest snooker tournament ever held. This format could make our sport more popular than football.

What a top man, the Silver Fox. World Amateur Champion in 1968 - then turned pro. UK finalist in ‘78, beat Reardon to reach the Crucible semi in ‘80 and reached No.7 in the world. Looking great for 79.

Thought Ali Carter was pretty good on commentary, certainly much better than Billy Castle who never shuts up and who seems to think that you can't have silence for even a few seconds.

Patsy knocks the black straight in playing a safety and gives away ball in hand.

Sharav only made 9 from ball in hand.
He was 2 points in front with more than 5 minutes left and tried to park the bus.
Patsy snookered him and he missed the pack off 2 cushions.

Patsy wins but that was only a first round game.
Still, he'll be back tomorrow for sure

No idea what Sharav was playing at with the scores so close and so long remaining. Playing some ultra negative stuff.

Patsy Fagan (almost) won the week.
Philip Williams has just pipped him right at the end of today's final.

Are we sure it was the real Patsy Fagan?
Or just somebody Dennis Taylor has identified as Patsy Fagan?

Week 6 has hardly lifted up any skirts. The final is Lenny Baker vs Ant Parsons
Week 7 starting on Monday looks more interesting. Michael Holt, Martin O'Donnell, Ross Muir, Peter Devlin and Paul Deaville all playing on Monday.
