Family illness for J-Bags. He will be offered a top up place for a later group if anyone else withdraws.

We'll have to make do with the long awaited clash between Dennis Taylor and Maria Catalano today.

Kicks off at 3pm UK time. Sky 437 or https://www.sportystuff.tv/

Don't get that on Virgin.

Not that it matters, seems to be on at stupid times. 3pm and 10pm.

3pm is today only, was meant to start yesterday.

10pm Monday - Wednesday is the normal time slot, something to gamble on after the greyhounds are over.

So Dennis Taylor has come out of retirement? Can't wait for his third retirement announcement

Re: The 900

Basically this is the shootout for amateurs with a bit longer on the shot clock and a group format a bit like the championship league non ranking version?

Here's the format by the way, courtesy of Snooker HQ. The winner tonight will be the first one through to the winner's group.

I'm not exactly sure why 8 players get 2 chances to qualify for Wednesday, and the other 4 only get 1 chance.

---------

Each week will comprise 12 different entrants, with the action taking place on Monday*, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights at the Crucible Club in Reading.

Eight players will first participate on a Monday in a mini event, with the semi-finalists advancing to Wednesday’s final rounds.

An additional four cueists enter the fray for a second mini event on a Tuesday alongside the Monday’s four losers, with the semi-finalists again progressing to Wednesday night.

It seemed to be suggesting that the 10pm session is live. That can't be true, can it?

Re: The 900

Didn't Dennis Taylor "retire" about five minutes ago?

Re: The 900

Why is this on at 10PM?

Discuss.

Re: The 900

Because it's a rubbish tournament on a small time channel.

its a channel that shows Horse and Greyhound Racing so they show this after all that finished.

Look its not Serious, its giving amataurs something to do

Andrew Norman wins Week 1, beating Billy Castle in the Final.

Castle made a big mistake at the start of the Final by landing short of the pack and giving away ball in hand.

I wonder if Dennis Taylor will be back doing commentary in future weeks?

I forgot to watch this.

Daniel Wells beat Emma Parker in today's group Final.

Coverage cut out during the Knowles vs Parker match for me (which wasn't an internet issue as everything else was still working). Tried refreshing and what not but just got a black screen. Stuck on a film instead rather than persevering.

Haven't seen any results but TK should have comfortably beaten Parker, balls were split very nicely and he was on a break, but then proceeded to pot a red before Michaela had replaced the pink (it had to go behind it's spot due to a couple of reds), which was a foul. A few minutes later the coverage went out.

Also, who is the chap with the "comedy" shirts? He was in the studio with Reanne and Rachel but I don't recognize him at all.
