The 2010 Pink Ribbon Pro-Am Tournament

Postby Roland

The Pink Ribbon Tournament will run from 17th-20th June 2010 and is to be held at the new South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester. The event is dedicated to breast cancer awareness and will hope to raise a lot of money for this worthy cause. The professional players in the field will ensure a high quality event and worthy winner - amongst the many names taking part are Judd Trump, Martin Gould, Jimmy White, Michael Holt, Matthew Stevens, Tom Ford, Joe Perry, Ryan Day, Reanne Evans, Stephen Lee, Stuart Bingham, Ricky Walden, Mark King, Tony Drago and of course Robert Milkins who has been prominent among snooker players in promoting breast cancer awareness.

The official website can be found here http://www.onqpromotions.co.uk/site/Pink%20Ribbon.aspx and there is an information pack here http://www.scribd.com/doc/32640530/Information-Pack which gives information about the draw, the venue, ticket allocation and how to get a commemorative t-shirt.

Snooker Island's very own Suzy Jardine will be there throughout reporting the days action for us as well as testing out her skills at presenting. She is the main presenter for the webcast which will summarize the days play and be published online at the end of each day. The link will be published on Snooker Island as soon as it becomes available.

I'm sure we all wish Suzy well in her new role as a presenter and who knows where it may lead - Hazel watch out! I understand she is already getting butterflies but is very excited at the prospect of presenting the Pink Ribbon Tournament and her snooker knowledge will give her the best platform to showcase her talents.
