Alfie Burden's loss means he falls behind Li Yan and David Gilbert in the rankings, now needing a really good performance in PTC 11 to save his top 64 spot. Li Yan can't rest on his laurels with Gilbert just behind him, though they both might pass Andy Hicks.
Had high hopes for Liam Highfield this year, but after a decent start the wheels seem to have come off, another loss now to young Scot Scott Donaldson (sorry, couldn't resist).

Even if Ronnie hangs on to top 16 hes screwed in the next window
only 2 x 5,000 point events (Germany and Wales) before the WC cut off
hes starting the next cut off in 18th
hes already gonna be 1,000+ points and counting off 16th
even reaching the quarters in both of these rankers will only give him an extra 3,600 points which prob wont even be enough to spare him having to play qualifiers for the China Open, World Open and WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
SO YOU HEARD IT FIRST HERE, RONNIE IS DEFINETLY GOING TO HAVE TO QUALIFY FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
imagine the crowd he would draw to the EIS

what was he talking about then?
Yeh your right Wild.
i kinda see this PTC as an example of what the new qualifying system will be like as its similar with the 128 players entering at round 1 and those who win a few games getting to the venue stages. similar to how this PTC is working.

Sat here watching the 'live scores' and wishing Eurosport had broadcast some of this, the match between Fergal and Marco looks like it's been very good ...
