Ali gets frame ball. Held himself together in the end. 13-11, barring snookers.

No offense to Carter but I really hope Maguire wins the semi; he's more likely to give Ronnie a game.

Who imagined Carter making the semis from that quarter at the start of the tournament?

Why have you not acknowledged Witz's warm hand of friendship?

Every time Carter has the reached the semis or further, he only loses to the eventual winner. Patterns
C'mon Maguire.

Ronnie had to beat 3 World Champions to get the semi finals. Hardest route ever?

Carter hasn't impressed me at all. He should have lost to Trump and he was choking badly against Jones.

Well that depends if you count the names or the performances of the opposition. Impressive names, poor performances.

Selby also had three in 2010: Doherty; Hendry and Ronnie. And then he yet another in the semi in Graeme Dott. Although I think ROS's route to the semi was slightly harder.

Hopefully Mags will get to the final. The last thing we want is another Ronnie vs Carter final. Carter always plays like an armless wonder against Ronnie.

Yes, if he reached the final against Ronnie, it would be the ultimate beat down.

Let's face it, everyone else is thinking the same. None of the other players want to admit it though.

Well don Alistair Carter for falling over the line. Jamie Jones gave a great account of himself.

Stevens can only win if he wins big. Not a chance of winning a close semi with all of his battle scars although no player has lost more Crucible semi finals that O'Sullivan.
