I pressed the 5 by accident and changed it, thought it would come up with 28 mins when Wild looked but obviously didn't.
There was no pukka pies involved when making the draw, so god knows where you got that from.

yes i'm with you snooker overdrive... everyone seems to think Ronnie will beat Ebdon easily, but I don' know.. last time Ronnie played Ebdon at the crucible we all know what happened
Ronnie now can cope slightly better with slow players, but he still he can get very frustrated if things arent going his way, the match goes scrappy and of course ebdon's average shot time..
Might be similar with the match he had with Selby at this season's Welsh Open... just hope Ronnie can get past Ebdon there

Since I have been watching snooker I have never seen Ebdon beat Ronnie but Peter is in top form again and this first round match is now much tougher than it could have been for Ronnie.

Wild was expressing his disappointment that whilst he has endeavoured to do his best listing the rankings, some thoughtless referbate have complained about a slight oversite on his part. Wild thinks this is a poor show indeed.

Yep some very good matches.
O'Sullivan v Ebdon - Few people knew that would happen, the hare against the tortoise
Selby v Hawkins - Hawkins has been good this season, a test for Selby that is
Robertson v Doherty - Robbo will get through, but hopefully Doherty plays like he did in qualifying
Stevens v Fu - Not that glamorous, but could certainly be a 10-9 match
Will be good to see what Brecel, Yupeng and Jones can do against Maguire, Allen and Murphy.
And a possible second round encounter between Higgins v Hendry is of course possible.
Cannot wait 6 days to go.

I'd say the qualifiers least likely to cause an upset are Doherty, Day, Yupeng and Hawkins. All the others, well who knows?

Higgins - Wenbo:
I don't think Liang has a realistic chance to dethrone the Champion except John is completely out of sorts.
Bingham - Hendry:
Not a good draw for Stuart and I think Stephen will beat him in a close match.
Dott - Perry:
Graeme is not having a good season but I expect him to win this one especially in the Crucible.
Maguire - Brecel:
Luca isn't a good draw and Stephen will be put under a lot of pressure but he is having a very good season so far and so I expect Maguire to progress.
Murphy - Jones:
Jamie beat Walden 10-2 and he will have to play exactly like that to have a chance. Shaun is very strong in the Crucible and I fancy him to win but an upset could be on the cards.
Lee - Higginson:
Stephen is having one of the best seasons of his career and he is very consistent, so Lee clear favourite in this one.
Carter - Davis:
Mark Davis has the chance of his life to reach the last 16 and I think he will edge this one although this a very open 50-50 match.
Trump - Dale:
Judd level dropped a bit after some close defeats in the Masters, German Masters and Welsh Open. After that he didn't look the same player he was half a year ago. Dale could have a slim chance on a good day but it's very unlikely over such a long distance.
Williams - Chuang:
Mark will be too strong for Liu execpt he's completley out of form.
O'Sullivan - Ebdon:
Ronnie gets the toughest draw available. The German Masters Champion vs the China Open Champion sounds very promising. Peter is in form but I think he's unfortunate to get Ronnie because he hasn't done that well against him in the last 6 years or so. I don't think Ronnie will let Peter get into his head but it's always a possibility. Ebdon hasn't won a Crucible match since 2008.
Gould - Gilbert:
It could havebeen a lot worse for Martin. David qualified convincingly but I think Gould will be too strong for him.
Robertson - Doherty.
I would love to switch Ken with Peter. Neil won't have to much trouble disposing poor old Ken. Robbo again with a very easy path to quarters.
Ding - Day:
Ding will hammer Ryan.
Allen - Yupeng:
Mark will take advantage of Cao's inexperience and beat him comfortably.
Stevens - Fu:
On paper Matthew is favourite but I have a feeling this might be Marco's day.
Selby - Hawkins:
Not a good draw for Mark. Barry is a very dangerous opponent who can beat any of the top players on a good day. But this is the Crucible and unless there's a Selby bottle job coming up, Mark will win this match.

Anybody drawing up a World Championship Preview on the blog page this year.
Always enjoy reading them, I do blogs myself but don't know if I can be trusted to write up a good piece if Sonny lets me.

I was going to ask Reanne to do it, she agreed but to be honest, I really can't get the enthusiasm up for writing up a WC preview piece or even proof reading one, I don't care for them.
