The scene in the UK is…stagnant to say the least, there are plenty of new players from China, but with huge prizes on offer ($730,000 for their Worlds, the largest prize in all of cue sports, albeit I don’t know if this is a permanent thing or just a rollover of the prize funds they couldn’t pay out during Covid), will even the stream of Chinese players slow to a trickle? Will they even poach existing snooker players to play on their tour?

I know Mark Williams was very interested in Chinese 8-ball money. But that was when his snooker form was not that great.
However, now that he reached the WC final this year, I don't know if he feels the same way.

Now that there's a Chinese Snooker World Champ, maybe there will be less focus on 8-ball in China?
