Ronnie said in the studio that he was pleased to get through, that he never wants to go out early after a tournament win and that he is looking forward to his match against Williams.

Now he's back to No. 15 in the provisional ranking - that would mean playing Selby in Crucible in the last 16.

that will be great game against mjw , they've been having a ding dong battle on twitter in
the last few months :-)

Both said afterwards their first round matches that they look forward playing each other. I think one of them is lying :gag:

I don't think any of them is lying. They know each other well, respect each other, go along well despite the mutual teasing and they both know this is a match that will be played in great atmosphere … something they both relisH

Honestly I would be surprised if Williams really deep down is looking forward to this match. He will be looking foward to playing Ronnie, like Ronnie looks forward playing Higgins.

Very true that

Any big breaks from Allen?

Look for yourself: provisional rankings

Ah, forgot about Bingham. So Ronnie only needs to equal Bingham's performance to go above him.

Who could Ronnie face if he was seeded 14th at the Worlds?

Williams.

Alternatives: Higgins, Selby, Robertson, Trump

Who would you prefer?

That's why Williams is looking forward to tomorrow.

But I'm serious Ronnie will be better off not having a good run in this tournament - winning this tournament would be worst case. I honestly can't see him beating Trump and Robbo in row.

And even if Ronnie does win tomorrow, he will certainly lose against Trump in the quarters, because I´m sure Judd will get past Bingham... :john: :john:

Just back from shopping with the family :irk:

How was the standard in the Ronnie Fu game ? Well done to Ronnie btw, go a virtual bye into the quarters with his lovely lady Williams next.

He played ok, but Fu had his chances early on and couldnt make the most of them, and Ronnie not playing at his best won it comfortably by 4-1.. made a century in the last frame :-)

Yes, Mathhew had a brilliant break of 141, and now this century from Hawkins.... maybe Williams will be the only Welsh player in the Last 16... :john: :john:

Maguire wins by 4-2.... made breaks of 101 and 131 on his way, back to back tons... Wicheard still made a fight for it, was trailing 3 nil and made 3-2, but in the end Maguire finished the match in style with another high break....

He´ll face either Mattehw or Hawkins, 3-2 to the latter, but Matt is on a break about to level...

Good performance by Wicheard today and Baird yesterday. Can't wait until newcomers get two seasons unitl they drop. Too many good players dropping off because they took some time to get used to life on the circuit. If Baird had another season he could get into the top 32 easily with the venues he's qualifying for.
