Davis speaking sense there about the ranking points situation in the face of the ridiculous nonsensical argument from Hazel

Just the usual 'how can Ronnie be so close to falling out of the top 16, wouldn't it be so amazingly shocking to see him in qualifiers yada yada'
If you play as little and as badly as he has in the last year or two then it's not surprising at all, Davis set her straight

That also was a big frame. But Ronnie is very comfortable against Ding, he's playing well and I expect him to finish off the match.

But different ball-game now Ding is all-square, suddenly the pressure reverts to him and Ronnie can play more relaxed, won't be surprised if he wins this 6-4 in double quick time.

GSM 6-4, never really in doubt the way the last two frames panned out, could easily have been 6-1 on another day if Ding doesn't fluke that ball in the 6th frame. Can't have any complaints.

Fabulous win for Ronnie. I think it's in his favour that the match got close, he got confidence back and knows he can perform under big pressure and showed that his long pots are back.

His long potting was top class, it's usually the missing ingredient in his game. having said that, it'll probably be down to 25 pc next round.

yeh his long potting was good today but his normally reliable deft touch and positional play in and among the balls was well below par today

He played well but the true test will come against Trump who usually plays well against Ronnie.

The beauty of the Masters is that there are no ranking points involved. For once the calculator can stay in the drawer and everybody can just enjoy the snooker. The Masters offers prestige and money just for the best of the best. No qualifiers that spoil a perfect line-up. Also it's the only event that takes place in London.
All that makes the Masters a very special tournament, Stephen Hendry said it's his second favourite tournament of them all. The GOAT can't be wrong, can he?
