What are your memories/observations of this Crucible Classic?

Now this looks like an absolute stonker, yet I have surprisingly little memory of it and it was only 5yr ago. Funny how I have much more recollection of 80s & 90s WC matches, which were never shown in their entirety.

Did this finish in a morning or afternoon session as that would explain my memory lapse, I’d have likely been at work.

If it was an evening finish I’d have surely watched it and there’d be no excuse for my amnesia.

I don't recall much of this match as it coincided with Ronnie vs Bingham on the other table so obviously that's where my focus was.

From what I've read about this, it seems Robertson produced a peak level performance and still lost.

its true. I watched that match. Robertson played at the peak of his powers (similar level to the CoC final against Trump) but lost 13:12.

He was devastated after the match (at the press conference) and couldnt believe what had happened.
