Yes, I pollute rubbish threads. This shouldn’t be one of them.

Ju Reti winning an Asian tour event as an amateur in 2013 is worth a nod. He was a complete unknown coming from remote north west China. Won a 128 player event with ranking points (first amateur ever to win an event with ranking points) beating Michael Holt in the final.
It qualified him for the players championship in which he played very well even though he lost to Trump.

All the suggestions could go into a tournament to discover the Island’s favourite match/performance etc of the decade.

Match of the Decade?
2014 UK when ROS beat Trump in a dramatic decider after being up 9-4 at one point and Trump came back.

Season of the Decade?
2017/2018 season when ROS won 5 rankers and Willo won the Worlds.

Performance of the Decade?
1. ROS winning the 2013 WC after taking a year out.
2. ROS making his 1000th career century.
3. Robbo making 103 tons in a season.

Tournament of the Decade?
2014 Masters when ROS hammered Selbo.

World Championship of the Decade?
2018, when Willo beat Higgo in the final, when nobody ever expected Willo to ever win a WC.

Surprise / Shock of the Decade?
Ronnie losing to Selbo in 2014. Had he not missed that black when he was 10-5 up, he'd have won it.
Ronnie losing to an amateur like Cahil in 2019.

Break of the Decade?
Ronnie's 92 against Carter in 2012 WC.

Innovation of the decade?
Sight Right.

As for the match of the decade, I am between 2016 UK Final (Selby 10-7 O'Sullivan), 2014 UK Final (O'Sullivan 10-9 Trump) and 2019 CoC Final (Robertson 10-9 Trump).

Willo's 2018 WSC story was fascinating of course, as it was Bingham's 2015 run too. But there were too many great performances from lower ranked players that beat them, IMO. Hamilton's fairy tale in 2017 German Masters is one of those, for sure. He beat five top 16 players at the age of 45, to win his maiden ranking title.

But, to be fair, two are the players who established themselves as top forces of snooker during this decade. Mark Selby and Judd Trump.

ROS has won 2 WC + he reached a final compared to Trump's 1 WC win.
ROS has won 3 Masters, Trump only 1
ROS has won 3 UK, Trump has 1.
ROS also has more rankers and invitationals won, so how on Earth has Trump established himself as the bigger force ?!?? :irk: <doh>

You do know that the decade started in 2010, right ? :chin:

Frame of the decade?

Will have to go with two... the penultimate one in the NI Open Final between Barry Hawkins and Mark King.

And very recently, also the penultimate frame in the CoC Final, when Robbo got the snooker he needed, won the frame on a respotted black and forced the decider to win the title.
